HCM City to Build 95 More Supermarkets by 2015

Vietnam’s southern economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City will construct an additional 95 supermarkets and 141 trade centers from now until 2015, said the city’s recently approved plan on distribution network during the period.
 
The upcoming establishments will lift the city’s total number of supermarkets and trade centers to 177 and 163 by 2015, said the municipal People’s Committee.
 
The city will also upgrade 64 traditional markets and remove 19 others by 2010 and move 29 others during the 2011-2015 period.
 
Ho Chi Minh City will encourage investors from various economic sectors for the development of supermarkets and trade centers. (Youth)
