Vietnam To Raise Import Taxes On Some Electric Devices to 20 per cent
The Vietnamese Ministry of Finance will raise import taxes on electric devices coded 8504.23.10.00 and 8504.23.21.00 to 20 per cent from the current 5 per cent from August 17, stated the ministry’s recently-issued circular.
Under the circular, import tariffs on electric devices with capacity of between 10,000kVA-15,000kVA, and 15,000 kVA-20,000kVA will be increased by 15 per cent to 20 per cent.
Meanwhile, the ministry will reduce import taxes on current transformers coded 8504.31.10.90 and 8504.31.10.90 to 20 per cent from the current 28 per cent from Aug 17. (Vietnam Economic Times)
