Trieu An Hospital (TAH) is where experienced and passionate doctors make it a trusted place for many patients.

Founded in July 2001, TAH is the most hi-tech private hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Offering high quality treatment and patient-oriented service, Trieu An has attracted numerous people from all over Vietnam, and from the neighboring country Cambodia.

Since its inception, TAH has established these core values: best quality treatment and service, reasonable costs for a wide range of patients, attractive benefits and bonus for medical staff, and state-of-the-art facilities and technology. This strategy has gained the hospital devotion of some dozen reputable professors, PhD holders, and about a hundred MDs such as Prof. Vo Thanh Phung (Musculoskeletal-athrology), Nguyen Quang Hien, PhD (Neurosurgery), Tran Thanh Trai, PhD (Pediatrics), Nguyen Hai Tung, MD (ENT), Le Phuc Thinh, MD (Oncology). Established in 2008, the Oncology division has affirmed its leading role in the battle against diseases with a team of experienced oncologists and the latest devices used in cancer diagnostics and treatment (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery). Carrying on the culture of inter-specialty collaboration at TAH, doctors of the Oncology division hold frequent discussions with doctors from the remaining 15 specialties to achieve the most accurate diagnostics and the most effective treatment plans. In the near future, this division will be developed into a regional-standard cancer treatment centre.

Besides high professionalism in healthcare, a professional management scheme is also a top priority to the board of directors. Trieu An’s general director and deputy directors are physicians themselves who still dedicate their time in practice as well as supervise and manage medical activities in the hospital. Each division is run by a top specialist in a customized professional managerial system. The board of directors has put together the “Surgery Approval Council” to assure the quality of treatment by surgery (TAH has eight international-standard ORs fully booked on daily basis), and the “Young Doctors Club” to embrace lifelong learning for all doctors. Chairman of the Board Tran Ngoc Henri supports TAH’s mission in healthcare by strategic investment plans that bring the latest technology to the hospital and expand its scale in the future.

To meet the demand for high class medical treatment, TAH launched its “hospi-tel” in 2007 with 42 hotel-like rooms, and the VIP wing. VIP healthcare means the best treatment by well-known specialists (by request), fastest and most accurate diagnostics aided by modern technologies (some tests can be taken at the patient’s bed), and the friendliest customer service. Inpatients’ meals are carefully prepared for different diets. A team of interpreters that speak English, French, Chinese and Khmer are always ready when foreign patients request translation. The hospi-tel is also next to TAH’s backyard where the green space allows patients to relax and get some fresh air.

Saving lives in the hospital doesn’t limit TAH in community outreach. TAH Charity has been working closely with the Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients of HCMC to care for poor patients and families of war heroes. The “Charity Heart Surgeries” program has seen hundreds of poor children growing up healthily after their birth-defect heart abnormalities were operated by TAH’s cardiothoracic surgeons. Dr Nguyen Hai Nam, General Director, shares that a doctor’s mission is not only to care for patients’ health and happiness, but he or she can also take part in making life better for the less fortunate.

Playing a significant role in public health, as well as the development of Vietnam’s medicine, TAH has successfully carried out its mission, keeping the torch of medicine. On the way to meet regional standard and upgrade itself by collaboration with hospitals in more advanced countries, Trieu An determines to maintain its core values, and at the same time open to change and new discoveries to serve the people better.
