Vietnam Imports 22,540 Tons of Kraft Paper Jan-Jul

Vietnam was estimated to have bought 22,540 tons of Kraft paper valued at US$13.77 million in the first seven months this year, down 10.75 per cent in volume and 16.81 per cent in value from a year earlier, the Ministry of Finance said.
 
Russia was the biggest exporter, shipping 6,780 tons of paper worth US$4.49 million to Vietnam during that time, up 3.5 times in volume and 3 times in value from a year ago, surpassing Taiwan, South Korea and Indonesia, the MOF said.
 
Meanwhile, the Southeast Asian country’s paper imports from Taiwan dropped 41.48 per cent, from South Korea down 53.12 per cent and Indonesia down 44.31 per cent.
 
In July, Vietnam spent US$1.6 million on imports of 2,900 tons of the paper, down 2.25 per cent in volume and 24.2 per cent in value against last July. (Market)
