Vietnam Slips in Business Environment Report: World Bank
Vietnam ranks the 92nd among the 174 economies worldwide surveyed in the 2009 business environment report conducted by the World Bank (WB), dropping one place compared to the 2008 position.
The report said, only the country’s index on credit access climbed to the 43rd from the 48th of last year.
The WB said Vietnam’s export and import procedures are still complicated and cumbersome. Enterprises must spend 24 days to complete six export procedures and 23 days for import papers.
Meanwhile, the bank said, the time for export procedures in China is only 18 days. (Youth)
