Vietnam Jan-Aug Imports from China Down 13.07% to US$9.69B
Vietnam’s imports from China fell 13.07% from a year earlier to US$9.69 billion in the first eight months of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
The country spent US$2.38 billion on importing machines and equipment with during the time, said the ministry.
It was followed by cloth with US$983.62 million, computers, electronics and spare parts with US$842.35 million, petroleum products with US$778.62 million, steel and iron with US$370.58 million and fertilizer of US$360 million.
Trade between Vietnam and China is estimated at US$21.5 billion this year, up 6.9% on-year, the ministry added.
Vietnam will export US$5 billion worth of goods to China and import US$16.5 billion during the year, up 10.229% and 6.04% on-year, respectively. (vinanet)
