Dai Viet Co., Ltd is a trader and processor of agricultural products in Dak Nong province. Especially, Dai Viet Co., Ltd focuses on exploiting cassava material zones to produce refined alcohol.
Two years after operation, the company was capable of supplying nearly 90,000 tonnes of alcohol, or 130 million litres, of which 100,000 - 120,000 tonnes of material cassava were used. Production employs nearly 200 local workers. This both ensures the highest productivity for the company and creates a reliable customer for local farmers. The presence of the company has helped reduce poverty by sustainable methods.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Toan, Director of Dai Viet Co., Ltd, said: “At present, the company’s main products are alcohol, liquefied CO2, microorganism fertilisers and unbaked bricks. The company is capable of manufacturing many types of products because it has managed to master technologies and equipment and made use of wastes to produce alcohol”.
By investing much in technologies and building effective production processes, Dai Viet has turned out 95 - 96 % refined alcohol, which is verified by the independent verifier, SDS Vietnam. Based on its quality, Dai Viet has gained gradually every market. Many partners operating in the food and medical industries have signed contracts with the company. Dai Viet has exported its products to European markets. In the first eight months of 2009, exported alcohol brought in US$260,000 for Dai Viet Co., Ltd.
To protect the environment and attain sustainable development, Dai Viet Co., Ltd also pledged to cut CO2 emission in line with the Kyoto Protocol. Over VND30 billion has been invested in building a CO2 collector with a processing capacity of 70 tonnes a day, and a standard wastewater treatment system.
By tying production with environmental protection, Dai Viet Co., Ltd has established firm steps for building its trade name.
