Vietnam PM Approves Aviation Agreement with Greece
Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved an agreement on aviation transport cooperation with Greece, the government said.
Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Transport Pham Quy Tieu said the agreement marked a new progress in the two-country transport cooperation, expected to boost their economic and cultural ties.
The agreement was signed between Tieu and his Greek counterpart on June 22, 2009 in Athens, the website said, adding that the two nations now see opportunities to cooperate in road and railway construction and traffic management.
At a recent meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Hanoi, Ambassador Platon Alexis Hadjimichalis said Greek firms are keen on investing in Vietnam, particularly in the areas of shipbuilding and maritime transport.
Two-way trade remains modest at approx $100 million per year on average. (chinhphu.vn)
