PetroVietnam Affiliate Runs Trial Dung Quat Polypropylene Plant
PetroVietnam Investment Consultancy and Engineering JSC (PV Engineering - coded PVE), an affiliate of the state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), has started a trial run on Dung Quat polypropylene production plant.
The US$232-million plant is located on a 16-hectare area at Dung Quat industrial park in the central province of Quang Ngai.
The plant will use propylene refined by Dung Quat oil refinery to produce 150,000 tons of polypropylene thermoplastic polymer a year.
The plant’s product will be use in auto, wrapping and fiber manufacture industries. (Youth)
