Lafarge Boral Gypsum Vietnam (LBGV), a wholly owned subsidiary of Lafarge Boral Gypsum Asia, the latter the Joint Venture between Lafarge SA France and Boral Limited Australia, recently announced its intention to double plasterboard capacity in its operations which are based in Ho Chi Minh City.

LBGV supplies a range of interior gypsum board lining solutions under the LAGYP brand. The company was the first to introduce plasterboard production to Vietnam through its 10 million square metre capacity plant in Ho Chi Minh City which commenced operations in the year 2006. LBGV intends to lift capacity at this facility to more than 20 million square metres through the addition of a second production line. According to Mr Peter Edwards, General Manager of LBGV, “This new investment is in response to increasing demand for gypsum board construction solutions in Vietnam. It will allow LBGV to follow this market growth and to establish its long term ambition to be market leader in Vietnam”.

LBGV operates throughout Vietnam with Sales Offices and manufactures and distributes from its factory located in the Hiep Phuoc Industrial Zone Ho Chi Minh City.
