Nissan Vietnam Tests Drive for First Locally Assembled Grand Livina
On January 26, Nissan Vietnam Co., Ltd. (NVL) hosted a two-day, one-night test drive event that kicked off in Hanoi, with a destination of Doson Resort in Doson Town, Hai Phong. The new Nissan Grand Livina has been eagerly anticipated since late 2008 when NVL set up shop in Vietnam. A stylish MPV, Grand Livina has features of a sedan but with more flexibility than a sedan.
Grand Livina’s modern styling is defined by free flowing lines extending from the headlamps, which are accentuated by ample fender flair, on to the stout back end. The all-around wide glass exposure contributes to a spacious feel both for those looking in and for occupants looking out. The spaciousness is much more than a design effect though. Grand Livina offers liberal space in a comfortable cabin that’s distinguished by a high level of fit and finish.
Grand Livina will be available in four colors: pacific blue, pearl grey, yellowish silver and sapphire black. In addition to Grand Livina, short-term plans for the Vietnamese market include two other locally produced Nissan vehicles.
“Grand Livina has a terrific track record in the global market,” said Yosuke Iwasa, segment chief product specialist, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd Japan. “With its broad acceptance, Nissan brings Grand Livina to Vietnam with a high level of confidence. Grand Livina delivers value, excellent handling and good fuel efficiency, important attributes for the Vietnamese customer.”
