U.S. Firm Wins $9.3M Consultancy Package for Vietnam Expressway

The ’s Wilbur Smith Associates has won a consultancy package worth $9.3 million for the Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway.
 
Under the package, the U.S. Company will provide consultancy and supervising for a section connecting km 23+900 and km 54+983 for 37 months.
 
The 51-kilometer expressway will link district 9 in Ho Chi Minh City with Nhon Trach and Long Thanh districts in the southern province of Dong Nai.
 
The $932-million Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay will be developed into two phases with the first phase funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the second phase funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
 
As of mid-December, the U.S. ranked the 6th among 88 foreign countries and territories investing Vietnam with 495 projects valued at $14.54 billion, statistics from the MPI showed. (Investment)
