Vietnam Seeks Investors for $1.3B Expressway in Central Region
The Vietnamese Ministry of Transport is seeking investors for a VND24.59 trillion ($1.3 billion) project to build Cam Lo-Tuy Loan expressway in the central region.
The 182.48-kilometer expressway will connect Cam Lo district in Quang Tri province and Tuy Loan village in Danang city.
The ministry plans to build the expressway under the form of building-transfer (BT) with four lanes and designed speed of 100 kilometer/hour.
Cam Lo-Thuy Loan expressway is part of a national project to develop a series of north-south highways.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a plan to invest a total of VND350 trillion to build expressways across the country by the end of 2020.
The Southeast Asian country needs $16 billion for infrastructure transport projects a year; however, it can afford half of that figure. (Investment)
