More than 10 years of construction and development on the northeast coast of Vietnam, the wholly Japanese-invested Taiheiyo Shinju Vietnam (TSV) has asserted its position on the domestic and global pearl markets.

Each year, TSV collects more than one tonne of premium commercial pearls meeting strict requirements introduced by the Japan Pearl Association. As much as 90 percent of the company's products are exported to Japan. Spica-trademarked pearl jewelleries have won the absolute trust of Vietnamese and international consumers. The company has created jobs and stable incomes for hundreds of people. Furthermore, TSV has established a strong force of technicians and skilled workers, who are invaluable force for culturing pearls in the Southeast country. Especially, TSV is culturing pearl oysters in a self-contained process from oyster breeding, culturing, caring and trading. Together with the adoption of Japanese pearl culturing techniques, the company annually sends many Vietnamese workers and technicians to Japan-based facilities to deal with labour shortage in the parent company.

Knowing the potentiality of culturing pearl oysters and the prospect of domestic and global pearl markets, the company will expand existing production facilities and build new ones in Ha Long, Co To, Phu Quoc and some places in Central Vietnam in addition to improving the product quality and increasing the popularity of its trademark. Besides, the company also processes pearls to increase the value. It will build some production facilities into fascinating tourist villages to introduce visitors the process of culturing pearl oysters, Vietnamese pearls, etc.
