Vietnamese Deputy Transport Minister Ngo Thinh Duc has granted a campaign medal for Ms. Hoonae Kim, sustainable development manager of the World Bank (WB) for her contributions to the local transport sector.

At the ceremony, Victoria Kwakwa, WB Country Director in Vietnam, expressed her thanks to the ministry’s recognition for Hoonae Kim and hoped it will facilitate Jennifer Sara who will replace Kim next term.

She expected the WB and the ministry will boost the cooperation in developing infrastructure projects in the coming years.

The WB has funded $10.4 billion in soft loans for 93 programs and projects in Vietnam since 1993.

This year, the WB pledged $2.49 billion in official development assistance (ODA) for the Southeast Asian country. (Transport)
