Prime Minister Visits TH Milk Foodstuff JSC

On July 5, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung visited Project of Industrial-scaled concentrated Milk Cow Raising and Milk Processing in Nghia Dan District, Nghe An Province.

 

The US$1.2 billion project is invested by TH Milk Foodstuff JSC with the financial investment consultancy of Bac A Joint Stock Commercial Bank). The investment for the first period (from now to July 2012) is US$350 million, will result in a modern farming system for 45,000 cows, of which 30,000 are milk cows, and a modern milk processing factory with capacity of 500 tonnes per day. By 2017, it is expected that the number of cows will increase to 137,000 and the factory will reach capacity of 500 million litres per day.

 

It is the first time in Vietnam the most modern scientific process of cattle-raising has been applied, covering from close examination of food portions to relaxing schedule. All the stages of cattle – raising such as quality and quantity of milk output; veterinary; reproduction; genes, herd sorting and milking sanitation, are controlled synchronously.

 

With this modern closed raising cycle, TH farming system will provide clean and safe  fresh milk input to TH Milk processing factory, the largest- scaled one in Southeast Asia, which possesses European automatic processing technologies and the world’s most modern equipments.
