Guang Dung Quat Steel Mill Output to Be Raised to 7 Mln Tonnes

 On August 16, 2010, Vice Chairman of the Government Office, Van Trong Ly, approved the increase of the capacity of Guang Dung Quat steel mill from 5 million tonnes to 7 million tonnes a year.

 

The decision was considered at the request of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, the Vietnam Steel Association, the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Guang Lian Steel Vietnam Limited.

 

The Ministry of Industry and Trade will work out capital capacity and product structure of the mill to report to the Prime Minister in the coming time.
