VND200B Garment Plant Kick-started in South Vietnam
Quang Viet joint stock company, a wholly foreign-invested firm, started the construction of a garment and fiber cloth plant worth VND200 billion in Vietnam’s southern province of Tien Giang on Sept 12.
The plant will cover 50,000 square meters in the province’s Tan Huong industrial park and is scheduled to start operation next Feb with 60 production lines.
The company plans to pour additional VND100 billion to expand the plant later, with an aim to double the number of workers to 6,000 and make revenues of VND1.2 trillion.
Quang Viet is operating one plant in Ho Chi Minh City’s Cu Chi district and another in China’s Shanghai city, specialized in processing products for famous brands such as Adidas, Puma and Reebok. (vietstock.vn)
