Trend Micro Launches New Office in Vietnam
Trend Micro, a global leader with over two decades of expertise in endpoint, messaging and Web security, on 25 October celebrated the grand opening of a new office in Hanoi, Vietnam and officially announced its new business partnership with VDC-Net2E, one of subsidiary of VNPT, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, raising the total number of the company’s offices to 24 worldwide.
The Hanoi office will help Trend Micro gain a stronger foothold locally and further its cloud market visibility in the Asia Pacific region. Vietnamese businesses, school and government agencies will have access to Trend Micro’s extensive portfolio of content security solutions that meet compliance needs, reduce costs, secure data as well as protecting them from new and emerging security threats.
By 2013, IDC expects spending on public cloud services to make up 10 percent of total Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) ICT spend. The compound annual growth rate for public cloud spending is predicted to be four times greater than traditional on-premise IT solutions in the region. Thus, the Trend Micro Vietnam office is expected to bolster the company’s cloud-computing customer network in the Asia Pacific region.
