Asia Pacific Quality Organisation (APQO) held its Annual Meeting and presented the International Asia Pacific Quality Awards to World Class Winners in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, from September 17 to 20, 2010. VIGLACERA Ha Long Joint Stock Company honourably won this first-rate award.

Qualified for seven strict international quality standards
VIGLACERA Ha Long was rated equal to leading economic organisations in Asia Pacific region in terms of product quality and corporate culture as it excellently satisfied all seven evaluation criteria of APQO. The seven evaluation criteria include Leadership: 120 points; Strategic Planning: 85 points; Customer and Market Focus: 85 points; Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management: 90 points; Human Resource Focus: 85 points; Process Management: 85 points; and Business Results: 450 points. APQO takes these criteria as the measure of effectiveness, contributions and direct effects on society; and as a total affirmative on “operating quality” of the enterprise.
The seven criteria are used equally to evaluate companies in member countries, including developed nations like the United States, Japan and South Korea.

After VIGLACERA Ha Long won the “Vietnam Quality Golden Award 2008”, the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality under the Ministry Science and Technology collaborated with quality authorities of Quang Ninh province and the company to submit the candidate application to the Executive Committee for International Asia Pacific Quality Award 2010. VIGLACERA Ha Long gained a relatively high sum of points to be honoured at the APQO’s Day of Quality and Knowledge in Kathmandu, Nepal.
