So far this year, many local and foreign projects have been inaugurated in Vietnam, especially in Binh Duong province, a positive sign for investment attraction in Vietnam and Binh Duong. This also shows that Binh Duong’s investment environment is still attractive to local and foreign investors.

According to Mr Naryanton Lie, Sales Manager of Lautan Luas Vietnam, Vietnam has had dramatic economic growth in ASEAN and around the world. The environment investment has improved greatly and labour cost in Vietnam is very competitive compared to other countries. This is a reason for Lautan Luas to choose Vietnam for locating a production factory.

Lautan Luas Vietnam, a subsidiary of Lautan Luas Singapore, commissioned a factory in the southern province of Binh Duong producing water treatment chemicals and multi-purpose industrial application additives. The factory is located at Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park with total registered capital of US$12 million. In the first phase, Lautan Luas will produce 30,000 tonnes of water treatment additives a year, 5,000 tonnes per year for textile auxiliaries and 5,000 tonnes per year for the local additives market and exports. Overseas markets include Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore and Canada. “At the early stage, we received good feedback from the customers, and we are expecting to start on the second phase of the factory in next year,” said Naryanton Lie.

Lautan Luas Singapore is a regional subsidiary of PT Lautan Luas with a long history back to 1951 headquartered in Indonesia, and is a distributor and manufacturer of specialty and basic chemicals.
