On October 26, 2010, Vietnam-France Hospital - Hanoi celebrated the 10th anniversary of its establishment reaffirming its reputation and brand after a difficult time with SARS in 2003. With joint efforts, managers and medical workers have made the hospital a reliable destination for patients and their families.
Modern, professional and dutiful services
The foundation of Vietnam-France Hospital is a combination of latest development of French medical service and Vietnamese experiences. It is the first private hospital of international standard in Vietnam. Since its establishment, the management board of the hospital has always regarded health and life of patients as the first priority. Therefore, as Medicare is inseparable from other services, the hospital has combined high technology with medical service of international standard. Medical workers of the hospital are leading French and Vietnamese professors and doctors of high expertise ensuring high confidence and credibility among Vietnamese and foreigners living in Vietnam.
Each year, the hospital conducted 80,000 health checks (270-300 checks a day), 3,500 operations and 1,500 birth cases. It has 26 specialized faculties, 67 hospital beds with modern equipment and professional service. In addition, it has new expansions: same day hospitalized treatment with 10 beds (August 2005), Pediatrics Section with 7 beds (January 2009) and Hclinic in Trung Hoa (August 2006).
Increased investment for health service
According to Mr. Paul Teniere, Director General of the hospital, with higher income, more Vietnamese people are looking for modern and prestigious medical services. The hospital plans to expand from 40 to 120 rooms and from 67 to 180 beds (including 20 same day hospitalized beds).
It will increase workforce and equipment such as computerized tomography and new surgery room opening for service by the end of 2011. He hopes that Vietnamese government and Hanoi authorities will permit the import of new equipment for better medical treatment. He realizes the great potentials of Vietnamese health market and plans to cooperate with leading hospitals in South East Asia to provide health service of international standards for patients from Vietnam.
Diversification of health service
With H Plus Card programme providing package health care for members including free health check and consulting for unlimited times, free periodical health checks and preferential fees, the hospital has attracted over 800 members and H Plus is regarded as a meaningful gift for relatives and friends. From August 2010, the hospital has coordinated with SAGA online and established a joint website “Entrepreneur Health” – suckhoe.saga.vn helping direct communication between doctors and patients for better service and treatment.
Indeed, the hospital and its medical workers are making joint efforts to contribute to the health service as well as socio-economic development in Vietnam.
