Vietnam 2010 Services Exports Likely +29.4% to $7.46B: GSO

Vietnam is estimated to have exported $7.46 billion worth of services in 2010, soaring 29.4% from a year earlier, the General Statistics Office said late Wednesday.
 
Of the sum, tourism services have contributed $4.45 million, up 45.9% on-year and transport services with $2.306 billion, up 11.8%, the GSO said in a statement.
 
The Southeast Asian nation has also spent $8.32 billion on importing services this year, rising 20.6% on-year, resulting in a deficit of $860 million, falling 24.2% on-year.
 
Vietnam has imported $5 billion worth of transport services in 2010, up 17.2% on-year, and $1.47 billion on tourism services, up 33.6%. (GSO Dec Edition 2010)
