French Firms Seek Opportunities in Airport Infrastructure Development

A delegation of 10 French companies specialising in airport infrastructure paid a working visit to Vietnam from March 16 to 18, 2011 to explore the domestic airline market. The visit was organised by UBIFRANCE, the French agency for international business development - an affiliate to the French Embassy.

This is an opportunity for French companies to learn more about the potential for upgrading, renovating and building new airports in Vietnam. French companies wish to provide experience from counselling and designing, building and operating airports to ground equipment, advanced security technology and air traffic management (ATM).

This activity aims to develop sustainable partnerships in all commercial, industrial and technological aspects between companies of both sides.

The visit of the French business delegation was supported by the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) as well as northern, central and southern airports corporations. During the visit to these hosts, French companies worked with Vietnamese specialised units on issues of common concerns.
