Hiep Phuoc IP Lures 58 Projects worth US$222.3Mln

The Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park (IP) in Ho Chi Minh City has attracted 58 projects with total investment of US$222.3 million with 70 per cent of its area occupied so far.

Thanks to its favourable geographic location and the Hiep Phuoc Port that can receive large-capacity ships, six out of 25 projects recently licensed in the IP are engaged in building cement plants with a total capacity of 8 million tonnes per annum. The two cement plants of Nghi Son and COTEC are operational and the Phuong Nam Cement Plant is under construction.

The IP's investor, Tan Thuan Industrial Development Company is levelling ground in areas B and C in the IP, and building the Long Hau underground water treatment plant with a daily capacity of 3,000cu m to serve new investment projects.
