For the first time in Vietnam’s manufacturing and supporting industries industrialists will discover tremendous business opportunities as three quality trade exhibitions are joining forces for parts makers to meet new buyers from Japan and other countries and enhance their productivity with new machinery and technologies.

The integrated show, scheduled to open during September 15-17 at Hanoi Culture Palace, will include the exhibitions of “Industrial Components & Subcontracting Vietnam 2011,” “SI Exhibition: The 4th Vietnam-Japan Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Hanoi,” and “Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2011.” Hanoi Industry and Trade Department, Trade Promotion Center, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Hanoi together with Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, and Reed Tradex Company, ASEAN’s leading exhibition organizer, will cooperate in organizing the event.

The fast growing number of foreign investors leads to an expansion of Vietnam industrial manufacturing, especially the local production. According to Minister of Trade and Industry Vu Huy Hoang, Vietnam achieved 14% industrial growth in 2010, nearly double the previous year’s growth rate. The country will accelerate its industrial production from this year to become an industrialized nation at the end of this decade.

Realizing the requirement to shift Vietnam’s industrial production structure towards manufacturing in deep processing and value-added sector, subcontracting production, and imported raw material manufacturing sectors, the government of Vietnam seeks to achieve their goals by providing a greater trade opportunity for domestic part makers through exposure to the state of the art technology, while at the same time strengthening Vietnamese suppliers’ capacity to reduce the need for import.

Mr. Luu Tien Long, Director of Hanoi Industry and Trade Department, said: “Vietnam expects a bright growth scenario in 2011. Accordingly, the value of industry and construction is hoped to climb to 8.2%. State budget revenue is estimated to increase by 16.7%, which is equal to 26.7% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product. Foreign direct investment (FDI) is expected to increase 15.5% to VND198.6 trillion (US%20 billion), accounting for 21.4% of the total social investment capital.” This means that the manufacturing sector, especially the supporting industries will need to be prepared for the growth. The coming-together of the three important shows will both offer local parts makers a chance to meet new buyers while keeping abreast of the latest manufacturing innovations and for overseas investors to meet the right suppliers while reducing the needs to import parts.

The first show is the Industrial Components & Subcontracting Vietnam 2011 which promises to match local parts makers with overseas buyers in a profitable networking platform. Vietnamese delegates will learn new know-how in concurrent seminars and the confidence of overseas investors towards Vietnam’s manufacturing sector will be built from meeting the quality suppliers in the show.

The second show is Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2011. Mr. Chainarong Limpkittisin, Managing Director of Reed Tradex, remarked: “This is very special year for Vietnam Manufacturing Expo. The two other events that the show will co-locate with will definitely bring immense benefits to the supporting industries. Both “Industrial Components and Subcontracting Vietnam” and the “SI Exhibition: The 4th Vietnam-Japan Exhibition on Supporting Industries in Hanoi” will be the can’t miss meeting places for local industrial parts makers who want to meet new buyers from Japan and many other countries. Visiting the event will discover great ideas to upgrade their productivity, reduce costs, and increase profits from 200 exhibitors from 20 countries and territories.”

The third show is “SI Exhibition: The 4th Vietnam-Japan Exhibition on Supporting Industries” by JETRO in Hanoi. The event will be a very exciting meeting place for industrialists in the supporting industries and sellers of industrial parts will meet new buyers from Japan. JETRO Chief Representative, Mr. Hirokazu Yamaoka expresses: “JETRO in Hanoi has been working towards trade and investment development between Japan and Vietnam for almost two decades. Our major targets are to support Japan’s direct investment in Vietnam, promote Vietnam and Japan trade relations, and support development or market economy in Vietnam.”

“It is my great honor to receive strong support and cooperation from Hanoi’s People’s Committee, Hanoi Trade Promotion Center, Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, Japanese Business Association in Vietnam and Reed Tradex Company for making this meaningful empower comes true,” Mr. Yamaoka also adds.
