Vietnam - Cambodia Business Club Established

The Ho Chi Minh City Plastic Association and the Vietnam Business Association in Cambodia recently established the Vietnam - Cambodia Business Club to prepare business and investment programmes for the Cambodian market. Representatives of some club member companies have signed agreements with supermarkets and wholesalers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to distribute plastic consumer goods, high-grade porcelain and solar cells.

 

Mr Nguyen Van Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Business Association in Cambodia, said the club has worked with companies in Cambodia like supermarkets and wholesale markets to sell and advertise their products in Cambodia.

 

Currently, 24 out of 26 Cambodian provinces have the presence of Vietnamese traders but they mainly trade infamous and low-quality products. Vietnamese big companies are not interested in this market because they have to compete with smuggled, tax-evaded goods.
