Golden V Prize - Logo Designing for Vietnamese Products

To meet the demand for logo designing for Vietnamese products, VCCI, together with ministries of industry, culture and information, agriculture and rural development, the trade promotion department and the Hanoi Industrial Fine Art College, have started a designing competition: The Golden V Prize. It is the first of its kind in Vietnam and will be organised every year. This year, it will only focus on fine art articles.

All businesses operating in Vietnam are qualified for participation, though the registration for the preliminary examination must be received before August 30, 2004. The logos must be new and to have not participated in any prior competitions, or been marketed widely at home or abroad. In addition to the prize, the winner will be introduced in the Dien Dan Doanh Nghiep, the Vietnam Business Forum, the website www.vgold.com.vn, international exhibition fairs and trade promotion organisations.

The competition will receive technical assistance from international industrial designing associations such as the International Council of Industrial Designing Associations (ICSID), the JICA project on handicraft development in Vietnam, Hidden Art (UK) and the Nordrhein Westfalen designing centre (Germany). It is an opportunity for Vietnamese designers to approach and influence designing trends in the world.

Information on the competition will be sponsored by the Dien Dan Doanh Nghiep newspaper, the Vietnam Business Forum magazine and the websites of www.vnemart.com.vn and www.ocsid.org.
