Promoting for Ha Long Bay Voting
Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to step up efforts to promote Hạ Long Bay’s selection as one of the world’s new seven natural wonders.
Under the plan, selection points will be set up in public places to attract both local residents and foreigners to vote for “descending dragon bay”, a name for Hạ Long Bay by Vietnamese people.
Hạ Long Bay was recognized by UNESCO as the World Heritages for its stunning limestone cliffs and other features. It is about 180 kilometers away from the capital.
The Bay attracted more than two million visitors last year.
