France Awards Order of Agricultural Merit, Academic Palms to Vietnamese Experts

French Ambassador to Vietnam Jean- François Girault handed the Order of Agricultural Merit and Order of Academic Palms to three Vietnamese experts in Hanoi, expressing the recognition of France for their important, long and diverse contributions to agronomic research, training and development.
 
Medallists include Dr Nguyen Dang Vang, Member of the lawmaking National Assembly, Chairman of National Assembly Science, Technology and Environment Commission, former Director of Animal Husbandry Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and former President of the National Institute of Animal Husbandry (NIAH); Professor Nguyen Van Bo, Chairman of the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VAAS) and Director of MALICA Project; and Dr Vu Chi Cuong, Deputy Director of National Institute of Animal Science (NIAS). They are senior researchers and partners of CIRAD - French Centre of International Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development.
 
Also at this ceremony, the Orders of Academic Palms were awarded to Ms Dao Anh Huong, an official at the lingual and educational cooperation division at the French Embassy in Vietnam; and Mr Dinh Ngoc Lan, Deputy Chairman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Physics Association.
