Thailand Develops MICE Tourism
The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) recently announced attractive support policies and programmes for international exhibitors and visitors at exhibitions, fairs and conferences in Thailand.
Notably, the “Extra Night, Extra Smile” programme will offer the third free night for visitors. Besides, the 100-A-Head programme will support US$100 for visitors staying at least three days two nights in Thailand.
These attractive supporting policies will last through December 2011.
In 2010, Thailand welcomed 679,000 MICE tourists and earned 55.068 million baht from this form of tourism. The country expects to serve 720,000 MICE visitors and fetch 57.6 million baht of revenues in 2011.
