Being successful in property investment consulting, construction and property development, Van Phu - Invest has made significant contributions to the development of Vietnam’s modern urban space. Vietnam Business Forum interviewed Mr To Nhu Toan, President of Van Phu Invest, to learn more about this issue. Tran Trung reports.
Could you tell us about the success of Van Phu Invest in property consultancy, construction and development?
After carrying out some real estate projects, we have achieved initial successes and I think those successes come from the following factors:

Firstly, we have a long-term vision and strategy for corporate development as well as product and service development. All difficulties are short-lived and we even find opportunities in tough contexts. Importantly, our company needs to have long-term strategies to proactively deal with those difficulties, particularly the readiness of financial and human resources.

Secondly, our company needs to make a difference in products, services and project deployment mechanisms. Van Phu - Invest is completing Van Phu new urban area - a modern green residence in the west of Hanoi. We rapidly and synchronously carried out construction, thus gaining strong supports of customers, partners and authorities. In addition, each of our real estate projects has an overarching theme and competitive edges to meet the diverse social demand.

Thirdly, the company is always committed to creating products and services of highest quality for employees, customers and partners. I think this is the core and important factors, not only to create the confidence and trust in the community but also serve as the driving force for our endeavour and growth.

Besides, Van Phu - Invest at all times attaches much importance to building up the united workforce to respond to new developments. I usually call my company the “Van Phu family” as I see it as a close-knitted family where all members share mutual love, respect, gratitude and expectations. We constantly try our best to work together and take part in social and community development activities. This is also a glue to tie up Van Phu Invest members together.

Some projects in Hanoi have adopted the “green model.” What do you think about this trend? Is Van Phu - Invest following the trend?
The green model should not only be encouraged for greater popularity but also viewed as a competitive edge and a factor that determine the sustained development of real estate businesses. Even, the affordable housing or social housing should also take care of this aspect, particularly landscape, environment, material, structure and construction solutions. If real estate projects only run for immediate profits by making full use of areas for commercial purposes while disregarding the landscape and the environment, they will gradually lose its appeal and expose shortcomings, especially when they are put to use.

Van Phu - Invest is applying the green architecture model to all projects like Hung Son Villas (Sam Son district, Thanh Hoa province), The Saturn City, Suoi Hai Lake Villa & Resort, an urban zone in eastern Belt Road 4 and even high-rise buildings in the heart of Hanoi like Trung Kinh Complex. Our concept of green architecture is not only limited to planning but also materials, equipment, construction solutions and management. Our sustainability strategy will not stay away from this green architecture model.

Van Phu - Invest has carried out many projects. Would you mind talking about their service quality criteria?
Each real estate project has its own characteristics and purposes but it must have three factors: people, nature and culture. People must feel the comfort even from smallest interior details to the harmony with the external community. Nature not only creates the fresh air but also creates beautiful landscapes for people to relax. Culture exists from the community exchange or social projects like schools and sporting centres, or even the smallest details like benches, shelters or walking pavements. Besides, when we carry out each project, we define its objectives from which we can make commitment to customers on progress, quality of products and services, etc.

How has your company created and developed corporate culture?
The central factors of corporate culture are commitment, trust, transparency, collaboration and sharing. These values are built by founding members from the date of establishment and exist through difficulties and challenges. These values will cause ripple effects and affect other factors in our corporate cultural structure.
