With a passion for his profession, young Tran Viet Hung set up a consulting company specializing in designing transport works under the name: TECCO 1 (Transport Engineering Consulting JSC I). Thanks to its application of advanced scientific technology into daily work, TECCO 1’s turnover amounts to over VND40 billion within five years’ time. Tran Viet Hung aims to bring the company towards more success.
As a child, Tran Viet Hung dreamt of being a civil engineer. Pursuing his dream, he decided to apply for the transport work designing faculty in Hanoi University of Transport. During his time at the university, he worked studiously and took field trips to get familiar with the discipline he selected. After graduation, he returned to his hometown in Yen Bai to work. With knowledge gained from university and especially with determination and ambition, he established TECCO 1, located at No. 213 – 215 in Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Yen Bai City, Yen Bai province.
At the very first beginning, TECCO 1 was only home to 20 staff with a modest turnover of over VND400 million. In 2007, only one year later, the company’s turnover got 15 times bigger, reaching VND6.3 billion. Tran Viet Hung’s company gradually gained its market share thanks to its reputation and serious attitude towards work. The company saw its turnover mounting to VND13 billion and VND20 billion in 2008 and 2009, respectively. The current revenue is over VND 40 billion. In addition to good knowledge and management, Tran Viet Hung keeps applying new technology in the implementation process of transport works. TECCO 1’s reputation is, therefore, proved in each project. The company gains confidence of almost all customers, which helps to expand its market. TECCO 1 also has a representative office in Hanoi. So far, customers have trusted TECCO and assigned it to provide design service for large works.
These achievements are attributed to Hung’s activeness in management. He has always paid attention to human resource quality. TECCO 1 regularly sends its personnel to attend training courses, as well as launches training classes to improve management skills and personnel capability. The company now prides itself on having more than 50 competent engineers and 30 highly skilled technical workers. Besides, TECCO 1 takes an interest in equipping itself with the most modern devices for surveying and designing public works. All the design and estimate work are implemented on a high speed computer system with modern and specialized software. Particularly, in 2010, the company got a construction material laboratory built with all modern equipment. The laboratory is recognized by the Ministry of Construction and coded as LAS-XD 1007.
Some remarkable projects of TECCO 1 include Hoang Thi road in Yen Binh district, Nam Khat – Tuc Dan road, Dong An – Gia Hoi road or the Co Phuc town belt-road. These are large-scale works for TECCO 1 to prove its standing and reputation in the market. “With these successes, TECCO 1 sincerely wishes for further assistance from all level of authorities so that the company can have more opportunities for winning large works of the province and thereby proves itself better,” shares Hung.
