Gov’t Provides Food Aid for Central Province

The Prime Minister on September 5 instructed the Ministry of Finance to take 3,070 tons of rice from the national reserve to provide for flood victims in the central province of Quang Nam.

 

The provincial People’s Committee of Quang Nam will be responsible for receiving and delivering food aid to the needed people.

 

Earlier, in May, the Prime Minister decided to offer 4,995 tons of rice for poor people in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum, the northern provinces of Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai; and the Central Highland province of Gia Lai, who faced food shortage due to severe droughts.
