Agricultural Land Use Taxes to Be Exempted and Reduced
Agricultural land used for research, experimental planting, and making salt, as well as farmland producing at least one rice crop per year will be tax exempt from October 1.
Under the Resolution No. 55/2010/QH12, dated November 24, 2010, poor households and farmland allocated by the State will also enjoy tax exemptions.
50% tax reduction will be applied to agricultural land that exceeds the agricultural land quota, but not exceeds the quota for transferred agricultural land.
State organisations will enjoy a 50% reduction in land use fees if they are directly using the allocated farm land for agricultural production. Those who misuse agricultural land will have the land revoked under the Land Law and be required to pay 100% of the land use tax during the process of revoking the land.
