CIO ASEAN Awards 2011 to Be Held in Late September

CIO Summit and Awards 2011 is scheduled to be held on September 28 at Sheraton Hotel, Hanoi by International Data Group IDG in collaboration with the National Steering Committee on Information, Communications and Technology, the Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Home Affairs.

 

Since its inception in 2005 with IDG’s initiative, CIO ASEAN Awards is to seek and honour the most outstanding CIOs in the ASEAN region. After 6 consecutive times, CIO ASEAN Awards has recognized and honoured 56 representative CIOs in many fields in ASEAN region.

 

Mr Do Trung Ta, Vice-chairman of National Steering Committee on Information, Communications and Technology, also the Chairman of Board of Judges of this year’s Awards evaluated: “Quality of candidates this year is better than that of last year. Particularly, most Vietnamese candidates are experienced and good at leadership of organizations and business enterprises. That is a challenge for the Board of Judges to sort out the best candidates.”

 

The Organizing Board also held the 3^rd Board of Judges (BOJ) meeting on September 10, 2011 in Hanoi, with the participation of 13/14 BOJ members to assess every candidate, give marks, assess and select the best candidates of this year’s Awards.
