Sa Huynh Salt Brand Announced

On September 17, Duc Pho Commune in the central province of Quang Ngai announced the Sa Huynh salt brand will be licensed to 557 members.

 

The brand will be validated from April 27, 2011 to December 2, 2019 with the right of extension.

 

The Sa Huynh salt field which has existed for tens of years has been heavily invested in, with more than VND 12 billion provided by the State to build six dyke lines at a length of more than 5 kilometres to serve the improvement and development of the salt field.

 

The area of Sa Huynh salt has so far reached more than 116 hectares with an annual output of nearly 8,000 tonnes, of which more than half is high-quality pure salt.

 

The license for Sa Huynh salt brand by the National Office of Intellectual Property under the Ministry of Science and Technology will contribute to offering favorable conditions for salt workers to widely promote the brand both domestically and internationally. Moreover, salt workers there will have opportunities to learn and share experience to improve the quality of Sa Huynh salt effectively.
