Construction of Cucumber Export Plant
The Kim Son Co. Ltd. kicked off construction of a plant specialising in processing cucumber for export in the Phan Thiet Industrial Park, Binh Thuan province on July 31, with an investment of VND20 billion (US$1.28 million).
The plant will have an annual capacity of 4,000-16,000 tonnes of cucumber for export and is expected to be operational in five months. This is the first phase of the VND48 billion (US$3.07 million) project to grow and process cucumber for export over an area of 341 hectares using advanced American technology.
The Kim Son Co. started cultivation of a cucumber farm on a trial basis from June in the province’s Ham Thuan Bac district following the US’s industrialisation process.
