Teachers and students at the Banking Academy, National Economics University in Hanoi (NEU) and several other institutions have just celebrated the success of their BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates, a qualification awarded by Edexcel, the UK’s largest awarding body.

Cao Xuan Hoang, aged 25, former BTEC HND student in Business & Management at NEU who attended the ceremony commented about his studies that, “It was a struggle but in the end it was well worth it”. After graduating with the BTEC HND in NEU, Hoang went on to complete a one year top-up Bachelor Degree programme in Business Management and followed up a MBA course in the United Kingdom. He now enjoys his career with Standard and Charter Bank in Hanoi.

Sharing the same success story of BTEC students at National Economics University, Hanoi, most of the BTEC HND graduates from Banking Academy Hanoi have progressed and successfully graduated with a UK top-up Bachelor Degree (Honours) program in partnership with the University Of Sunderland. This is the first time in records of the university, 7 students have been awarded “First Class Honours” in Vietnam in an academic year.

The BTEC Higher National Diploma, which was first introduced in Vietnam since 2005, has gained popularity in Vietnam.
