Vietnam Calls on Japan to Focus ODA on Education Projects
Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan has asked the Japanese side to focus its official assistance development on Vietnam’s ten prioritized education projects.
The Deputy PM made the statement while receiving Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Tanizaki Yasuaki in Hanoi on December 19.
Deputy PM Nhan said he hoped that Japan would continue its assistance to Vietnam’s educational sector, including the upgrading of Can Tho University to turn it out as one of the best universities in the country.
Ambassador Tanizaki Yasuaki affirmed Japan’s continued efforts to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese side to speed up joint educational and vocational projects.
He informed the host about the Japanese Minister of Culture’s visit to Vietnam in early January next year to discuss Vietnam’s list of education projects to be prioritized for ODA.
