VITEX: Leading the Way

The Vinh Phuc Textile Company (VITEX) specialises in producing sports socks, casual socks, children’s socks and other high standard socks for export, and is the only company in Vietnam to make socks especially designed for aching feet.

The prestige of VITEX is enhanced day by day and its products are trusted by European and American customers. This trust is attributable to the company’s consideration towards its customers as a prerequisite in business activities, which has been proven by the improved product quality and scheduled delivery of goods in accordance with contracts. This is one of the secrets to the success of VITEX.

The enhancement of the production capacity and the diversification of products are always the company’s top priorities. To satisfy the increasing demand of customers, VITEX has invested in the most advanced automatic technology chains from Italy and Korea worth over US$2 million. The production line has already been put into operation.

Having been involved in manufacturing and trading in the textile industry since 1965, Mr Bui Gia Le, chairman of the company, has had nearly 40 years of experience in exporting garment products. Together with his son, Mr Bui Khanh Thi (director of the company), Mr Le has helped the company attain stable development. As the director of the most famous textile company in Vietnam - Hanoi Textile Company - Mr. Le has a good ability at foreseeing changes in the market and responding effectively. In 1991, he joined hands with the Inter/System Company of Japan and the Hanoi Knitting Company to produce socks for export. In 1998, he established Bui Nguyen Company, which mainly produces Spandex yarn.

The year 2001 was of great significance to his business career when Vinh Phuc Textile Company was established combing all his criteria and symbolising is ultimate goal. Currently, VITEX’s production capacity stands at 5 million pairs of socks, 200,000 garment products, 150 tonnes of Spandex fibre and rubber per year. VITEX not only cooperates with partners who can supply materials and products for the textile industry, but also cooperates in the machine and equipment field for the industry. VITEX provides most of the knitting machines for Ha Dong Town in Ha Tay province, home to famous silk manufacturers in Vietnam. In turn these enterprises supply qualified products for export to VITEX when necessary.

With valuable lessons and knowledge from his father, Director Bui Khanh Thi, with his enthusiasm, has played an important, decisive role in the success of VITEX that is becoming a reliable partner of both local and foreign enterprises.
