Da Lat Sets New Fresh Flower Export Record
The Central Highland resort city of Da Lat has exported over 53 million flowers in 2011, making a record rate, according to the municipal People’s Committee.
The locality exports mainly roses, orchids and chrysanthemums to markets in Singapore, China, and Japan, and as far away as Europe and North America.
Da Lat is now the leading flower exporter in Viet Nam. With expanded operations and the application of high technology in farming, Da Lat’s flower export volume and value is forecast to continue rising in 2012.
