Korean Loan Agreement Approved
The PM has approved the agreement on accessing loans from the Republic of Korea’s Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) to fund a solar energy project in Quang Binh Province and the drainage and wastewater treatment project in Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province.
The energy project, scheduled to become operational in 2013, will build solar power stations with capacity of 1,015 KWP to provide electricity to 1,514 households in the 4 districts of Le Thuy, Quang Ninh, Bo Trach and Minh Hoa.
The project will also provide 10 remote communes with solar power.
