VCCI to Release PCI 2011 on Feb 23

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will release the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2011 and a survey on FDI enterprises (PCI-FDI) on February 23, 2012. Dr Vu Tien Loc, VCCI President, and Mr David B. Shear, US Ambassador to Vietnam, will co-chair the event in Hanoi.

 

Started in 2005, the annual PCI aims to assess and rank the quality of the governance of provinces and cities, based on surveys on domestic and foreign businesses operating in the country. PCI 2011 was built on voices of nearly 7,000 domestic firms in 63 provinces.

 

The PCI announcement ceremony is expected to attract the attendance of 400 - 500 delegates from central government, provincial/municipal governments, corporations, trade promotion agencies, business associations, embassies, diplomatic corps, sponsors, researchers and media agencies.
