Northwest England Trade Mission Seeks Opportunities in Vietnam

Seven businesses from Northwest England visited Vietnam on 20- 22February 2012. The mission covers a number of important sectors including: oil and gas, energy, education, consumer goods, healthcare, medical, and equipment.

 

Driven by a dynamic economy, Northwest England operates on a truly international scale. Comprising Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria, its competitive business climate is home to some of the world’s biggest companies that view the region’s strengths as integral to their long term business success.

 

By sending a group of businesses from Northwest England to Vietnam, the region is helping strengthen economic ties with a most important trade partner.

 

Speaking at the reception, Peter Thompson, International Trade Adviser - UK Trade & Investment in Northwest England said: “Vietnam, as a whole, offers substantial long term opportunities and I am delighted to be visiting Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on this particular trip, working closely with friends and partners to help companies explore opportunities and achieve their trade goals in Vietnam.
