Hau Giang has potential and advantages to develop agricultural products of high productivity. However, raising agricultural product output is a challenge for local authorities. From real market demand, Phu Thinh Food Processing and Export Joint Stock Company was founded to tackle difficulties of Hau Giang in particular and the Mekong Delta in general.
Established with formation and development of Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Zone (IZ), Phu Thinh Food is located on 30,000 square meters in Tan Phu Thanh IZ, Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang province, Vietnam. The factory’s location is convenient for trade (10 km from Can Tho City and 15 km from Can Tho port). The company is mainly involved in processing frozen, canned and dried vacuum products, as well as fruits from rich tropical Mekong Delta land such as: pineapple, rambutan, dragonfruit, grapefruit, and mango. At present, Phu Thinh’s annual output is about 6,000 tonnes, helping to consume a large amount of local agricultural products.
Since its very first days, Phu Thinh has identified its vision as “Joining Vietnamese farmers with the world”, with main import markets including the US, Europe, Australia, and Russia. Phu Thinh has always taken pride in linking Vietnamese farmers with the world. The production applies quality control systems such as ISO 22.000, BRC FOOD, HACCP with circle from provider to consumer through modern equipment to ensure food hygiene. Given achievements gained in the past time, the company’s management board plans to launch products to Japan and South Korea.
During its operation, Phu Thinh always emphasizes environment protection around the factory to ensure the best space for workers and people in the production area. Phu Thinh is aware of the important role of the environment and take this into account when planning its sustainable development.
An important factor forming Phu Thinh’s success is contributions from employees, a team of experienced managers and specialists in fruit processing with nearly 280 workers. The company also participates regularly in local workshops or technology transfer and meets the needs of its labourers. With its experience and capacity, the company has always made efforts to serve customers, although the industry is rather new to people in Mekong Delta.
With the efforts of the Company Management Board, as well as support from Hau Giang Provincial People’s Committee and Departments, in the coming time, Phu Thinh will put forth plans and development steps to make more breakthroughs in business, bringing Phu Thinh Food brand to national and international markets.
