Bunge Plants Forests in HCM City

Bunge Vietnam Co., Ltd, a member of the US-based Bunge Limited,  recently coordinated with the WWF Vietnam Organisation and the Can Gio Protective Forest Management Department to plant forests in the Can Gio biosphere reserve in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

More than 80 volunteers from Bunge Vietnam, Bunge Singapore and local universities spent a day planting 750 trees along the coast of the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve in a bid to restore wetlands and improve natural environment here. This programme was part of a campaign called "Bunge 10" - an event in the commemoration of 10^th year Bunge lists its shares on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), US. The campaign began in August 2011 and will last through this year with many community projects around the world, including Vietnam.

 

Bunge Vietnam officially inaugurated its oil pressing plants in Phu My I Industrial Park, Ba Ria Vung Tau province in June 2011. The US$100 million facility is capable of turning out 1 million tonnes of soybeans a year.
