World Conservation Congress 2012
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) will hold the 2012 World Conservation Congress from 6 to 15 September 2012 in Jeju, South Korea. Held every four years, the congress has the biggest influence on the settlement of global environmental issues.
The Congress brings together members to share knowledge and efforts in nature conservation and environmental protection like safeguarding the integrity and diversity of nature, ensuring equality in the use of natural resources, coping with climate change, etc.
Participants include government agencies, non-government organisations, businesses and academics as well as news agencies, media and experts in various fields.
