Vietnam Exports 2.87 Million Tonnes of Rice in Jan-Jun
Vietnam exported 2.87 million tonnes of rice worth over US$1.3 billion between January 1 and June 14, according to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA).
Around 330,000 tonnes of rice has been exported so far in June, with a total value of US$143,985 million. The country also exported 788,296 tonnes of rice in May, the highest monthly volume since January 2010.
Vietnam expects to export a total of 6.5 million tonnes of rice in 2012.
