GENERALEXIM: Over 23 Prestigious Years in Export Business
Established in 1981 under Decision No.1365/TTCB by the Ministry of Trade, the General Export-Import Company I (GENERALEXIM) has always competed well in the local business environment even with tough competition, supply–demand regulations and price fluctuations. It now targets to expand business and export markets, diversify products and also fulfil its assigned plan.
Once the open-door policy for international and regional integration issued by the State becomes active, enabling all businesses to engage in direct export activities and abolish the export management mechanism, GENERALEXIM sees it as both a challenge and an opportunity to adapt to a competitive local and international environment and achieve breakthroughs in its business.
GENERALEXIM specialises in exporting
In addition to trading activities, the company has developed business in the areas of production and services in a bid to utilise internal strengths, master some phases of the business process and gain flexibly in shifting its business direction once the market produces great changes. At present, the company focuses on offering services of warehouse leasing, merchandise exchange, authorised export-import, temporary import and re-export, garment production and outsourcing. It is now also a major shareholder of the Vietnam Export Import Bank (EXIMBANK).
Thanks to its significant contribution to socio-economic and politic development, in 2001, GENERALEXIM was honourably granted the Third Class Independence Order by the State. Over its 23 years of operation, the company has won innumerable awards of honour for its achievements in economic, Trade Union and Communist Party activities.
In the future, GENERALEXIM plans to extend its commercial promotion activities in potential export markets while retaining its traditional partners on the basis of "preserving quality and prestige, conducting business with fair play and good will for mutual benefits" as told by the company director Hoang Tuan Khai.
